About

208 words

I am a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer specializing in enterprise-scale infrastructure automation, secure platform architecture, and developer enablement. I lead a platform engineering team managing OpenShift environments, balancing platform reliability with direct developer enablement through documentation, tooling, and user group sessions.

What I Do
#

I lead through a combination of hands-on technical work and collaborative team leadership. Day-to-day, I architect CLI tooling in Go, orchestrate multi-team incident response, and mentor engineers on Kubernetes architecture and automation best practices. I leverage GitHub Copilot daily with custom agents to accelerate development and prototyping.

Communication and Enablement
#

I lead the Ford Kubernetes User Group bi-quarterly (100+ engineers), delivering platform updates, demonstrating best practices, and facilitating vendor workshops. I translate platform constraints into actionable guidance for application teams, shortening the path from idea to production while maintaining security posture.

Interests (Outside Work)
#

In my free time, I enjoy working on my 2006 Nissan 350Z, experimenting with open source projects, operating my homelab (K3s, OKD, Proxmox, TrueNAS), participating in endurance sports, and exploring music.

Current Focus
#

Leading platform engineering for enterprise OpenShift environments with a focus on infrastructure automation, lifecycle management, and team development. Building reliable, automated systems through Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline engineering, and policy-driven platform management.
